About This Initiative
Pathways for Arts Educator Development was created in response to Proposition 28 (The Arts and Music in Schools Act), to address the shortage of qualified arts educators in California's public schools.
This initiative brings together universities, professional associations, community-based organizations and advocacy groups to illuminate clear, accessible pathways into arts education careers.
